Nature Skills Camp

Join our Nature Skills Camp to access our beginner’s skills camp, with talks, presentations, workshops, practical tasks, and dipping your toes into wildlife surveys. Stay in a beautiful part of South Devon in a community of like-minded others.

The Nature Skills Camp is great for beginners in this area to experience nature recovery first hand and of creating a solid base of knowledge to build upon.

Nature Skills Camp

Spend a week living in a small group, learning to recognise common plants and habitats, exploring how rewilding works in practice, and contributing to simple conservation and food-growing projects.

This is a hands-on, outdoor-based course designed for people with little or no prior experience but with an interest and passion for nature. The focus is on building confidence, learning by doing, and leaving with a clearer understanding of how to engage with nature in a meaningful way.

Includes shared accommodation and food. Simple living, small group, and a steady pace throughout the week.

Choose to join us between the 10th and the 15th of August, or between the 24th and 29th of August.

Who's it for?

The Nature Skills Camp is for anyone that cares about the natural world and would like an introduction into aspects of ecology. This might be a new world to you and you are just starting on your exploration. It is for those looking for an experience in nature, spent with others, learning and working meaningfully towards positive outcomes for nature.

The desire to do this could be initiated from a need to do something rewarding and enlivening; a desire to take a step in the direction of a career change but just not quite sure where to start; a need to connect with yourself and the land whilst being practical, around like-minded others, engaged in projects which are working towards nature recovery.

This might just be the first spark you need to see that the skills you already have can be applied in a role that is working more positively towards the natural world.

This is a short experience, a chance to get away from your day-to-day life. This Summer camp offers a chance to learn, to apply yourself, and to gain skills which can greatly improve your outlook and prospects.
