Ellie joined us for the Spring 2025 cohort. Before the end of the traineeship, she wanted to share her folk walk with colleagues, staff and friends, taking us to a few different beautiful locations here on Lower Sharpham Farm.
“While I’ve been at Ambios, I have felt a profound connection with the land and people there. I wanted to create something which celebrated that, and guide other people to reflect on what land and community mean to us individually through folk song, poetry and meditations. It was wonderful to take the time to appreciate the site on a deeper level than we would day to day, and be together in stillness for an hour on a beautiful summer evening.
The song you hear in the video is an old Irish tune called My Singing Bird (Roud 46814), and it was wonderful to have a chorus of insects and birds join in while I sang!”
Thanks to Mike Cooke for recording and editing the audio!
