WildSkills EU with Erasmus+

WildSkills EU

Coming soon -register now!

Thanks to Erasmus+ funding we’re going to be developing a series of distance learning practical wildlife identification and communication courses aimed at current and recent University students.  Once participants have completed the distance learning there will be an opportunity to undertake a funded mobility to continue practicing those skills.

Uniquely, some of the courses will involve the loan of survey equipment so that you can practice your skills while joining live learning sessions spread over 6-weeks.

As we go into 2021, we’ll be looking to recruit students (current or recent graduates) to help develop and test our distance learning packages and come on 5-day ‘field trips’ to our partners (Erasmus+ funding is available to support you on these visits)

The courses we're planning to develop

At the moment, the courses are likely to cover effective wildlife camera trapping and bird and tree identification with ’training the trainers’ and ’negotiating stakeholder engagement’ courses to be added later.  The project is primarily aimed at university students and new graduates but anyone can register their interest (please see below) as we are keen to discover if there is wider interest in these subjects.

We’ll be developing skills assessment systems that will recognise skills competencies in the distance learning and mobility environments using ECTS and ECVET.

Previous participants in Ambios training have said:

“Brilliant course, really enjoyable, so much so that I will be investing in a camera.”
“The balance [of different learning materials] was great and I always found myself excited to learn more and engage with the content.”

Would you like to help us?

Are you …

A current student or recent (last 12 months) graduate?

Studying (any subject) in UK, Hungary, Portugal or Italy?

Would you like to help us develop these courses by participating in online discussions, testing the new learning materials and/or joining  small teams to visit our partner countries to move the project forward?

If so, please leave your contact information below.  We’ll then be in touch as our plans develop for 2021.

A wider audience

If you don’t fall within the above categories but are interested in the project and the courses we are developing, please register so that we can gauge the wider interest.  This will help support Ambios Ltd with training the next generation of wildlife professionals.
