Science @ Our Farm

We are focusing on 4 science projects based at our farm.  We are looking into Cirl Bunting nest site and food availability, the role of pollinators (bees etc) on the farm, the diversity of plant species we have in parts of the farm and the practicalities of badgerTB vaccination.  These 4 projects will be our focus for the coming years and each will reveal interesting stories about the biodiversity of Lower Sharpham Barton Farm.

This year we have focused on two of the four projects – we have looked more closely at how our farm might support Cirl Buntings and how we measure the number of badgers within our badgerTB vaccination area (the Sharpham Estate).   Later in the year we will be focusing on bees and cattle grazing.  Results will appear here.
