- Supporting local NGOs (and the wider community) who wish to utilise volunteer effort as part of their sustainability strategy, and who wish to develop the capacity to recruit and manage volunteers directly and effectively.
- To further as interrelated goals, practices of wildlife and habitat conservation, through the encouragement of sustainable use of natural resources.
- To enhance the ‘lifelong learning’ and general educational value of a volunteering experience.
- To widen the base of the social and economic strata from which volunteers are resourced.
